Union Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu, presenting his second railway budget today, based railway budget 2016 on three pillars, restructure, reorganize and rejuvenate. Prabhu stated that the budget has been proposed keeping the aspiration of common man into the consideration. Addressing the Lok Sabha, Prabhu said, "This is not my Budget. This Budget reflects aspirations of people of India." Highlighting the vision of the government while announcing the Budget, Prabhu was hopeful that this budget will lead to a journey of transformation and journey of a nation.
